This project began with a call about a failing steel septic tank that was dangerously close to collapse. The tank had already begun leeching black water into the surrounding soil, creating an urgent need for corrective action to protect the property and nearby environment. 

 During inspection, we discovered the steel tank was heavily corroded and structurally compromised. In addition, the existing sewer and leach lines showed signs of root intrusion and material failure, likely due to the use of substandard, thin-walled piping. These conditions not only eliminated system flow but also posed a risk of future backups and ground contamination. 

To address the failing system, we followed a careful, step-by-step process:

• Removed and disposed of the concrete riser 
• Removed and disposed of the failing tank
• Excavated and removed contaminated soil to ensure a clean foundation
• Installed new septic tank and risers
• Excavated and cut through aggressive root systems to expose the full extent of the failure
• Installed a new sewer line and leach line system, using durable materials designed for long-term performance

All new piping was installed using SDR-35 sewer-rated material with solvent welded joints, ensuring a secure, watertight seal that dramatically reduces the potential for future root intrusion and connection failure.
